Mel BlackMel Black
Mr. Black is a licensed attorney in North Carolina and the District of Columbia.  He is in the general private practice of law with a focus on representing and advising real estate appraisers, real estate agents, and other professionals throughout North Carolina and other states on a variety of matters, including complaints before their licensing boards. Mr. Black was the Executive Director of the North Carolina Appraisal Board for over 8 years and prior to that served on the staff of the North Carolina Real Estate Commission for 3 years. He was selected as an appraisal subject matter expert to review national appraiser examination items and also selected to provide testimony at a hearing on appraiser qualification criteria before the Appraiser Qualifications Board. In addition to his law practice, Mr. Black is an owner of North Carolina Real Estate Education, Inc.  He teaches appraisal continuing education courses in North Carolina and has personally developed four separate appraisal courses.  He also teaches the National USPAP Courses as an AQB Certified USPAP Instructor.

Born a twin in low-income Liberty City in Miami, Florida, Les has had no formal education beyond high school but his passion to learn and his hunger to realize greatness in himself and others has distinguished him as an authority on harnessing human potential. He rose from a hip-talking morning DJ to broadcast manager; from community activist to community leader; and from political commentator to three-term legislator.

David received his Bachelor of Science degree in Horticulture at NC State University in 1990. During his undergraduate years he was able to spend a summer interning with the Cooperative Extension Service. His experiences those few months led to the decision to continue his education, pursuing a Master of Science degree in Soil Science. Upon completing his M.S. Degree in 1993, he stayed enrolled at NC State University, where he later completed a PhD in Soil Science in 1996. David then joined the faculty at NC State and works in the Department of Soil Science. David started out as the Waste Management Extension Specialist in the Department of Soil Science until July 1996.  He quickly became the Assistant Professor of Waste Management in the Department of Soil Science.  He moved up quickly becoming the Assistant Professor as a Precision Agriculture and GIS Extension Specialist in the Department of Soil Science in 1999.  And he now serves as Associate Professor as the Precision Agriculture and GIS Extension Specialist in the Department of Soil Science, North Carolina State University in Raleigh, N.C.

Drexanne Evers is a real estate consultant who provides complete audits of real estate brokerage firms and suggests possible changes within the company to increase efficiency and productivity, with increased profitability as the ultimate goal. Realtor Evers is responsible for analyzing and evaluating all of a firm’s functions and financial matters to help increase the bottom line. She is a well-known lecturer on real estate topics and has spoken at many conventions. Drexanne holds an MBA degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati. Ms. Evers has been an Ohio real estate broker for 34 years. She began her multi-faceted real estate career as a sales associate. She then moved on to become a sales trainer for two large Cincinnati real estate firms and then became a sales manager of a branch office. In one calendar year Drexanne’s branch office went from 18 salespeople to 53 salespeople. She was then promoted to Senior Vice President with the Sibcy Cline Company, a 20 office real estate firm in Cincinnati, where she was in charge of recruiting, training, marketing and personnel. Realtor Evers is a past president of the Warren County, Ohio, Board of Realtors and a former REALTOR of the year. She is a master instructor with the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers, teaching real state management subjects internationally. Drexanne is past president of the Council of Real Estate Brokerage Managers. She owns her own consulting firm, Drexanne Evers International.

Starting college at age 16, Chandra completed a Bachelor of Science Degree in International Business. In 1993 she founded and operated Innovative Funding, a corporate and non-profit resource partner collaborating with leaders of corporations and non-profit organizations. In 1997, she joined forces with J.P. Weigand & Sons, Inc., in Wichita, Kansas specializing in residential real estate.  After completing a Masters Degree in Business Administration in 2000, she became an adjunct instructor for her alma mater followed by a real estate instructor for Career Education Systems in Kansas City. Upon relocating to Colorado, Chandra serves as a real estate educator and instructor trainer at Kaplan Professional Schools in Colorado Springs and Denver. In addition to being a CRS instructor, Chandra also teaches GRI and ABR courses for real estate groups across the nation. Bob McComb started his successful brokerage career in commercial leasing in the San Francisco office market in 1985. He quickly rose to the ranks of a top producer, representing owners of high-rise towers and office tenants. He has been the leasing agent for the landmark building, the Transamerica Pyramid and scores of other buildings. In 1991 he became a founder of a well-respected commercial real estate company in San Francisco. As a top broker he has negotiated hundreds of lease transactions, as an owner of a real estate company he has reviewed hundreds more. Bob was a regularly featured columnist for the Alameda Newspaper Group on the subject of leasing and in the Commercial Property Guide on the subject of negotiations.
